My 80 series has a Sprintex kit. It's a 92 model so it' was a little harder to tune that a later model because it has an AFM instead of a MAF, well that's what the installer said anyway. I'm also running an Omegas VSI system with it and believe it or not, it actually goes harder on LPG than petrol. 165rwkw on LPG and 158rwkw on petrol (it's got a part time 4wd kit).

No tips or tricks so far apart from it's a massive pain in the arse changing the drive belts after the supercharger is fitted so it's best to get them replaced when the supercharger is being installed. Also if you want extractors then get them done beforehand as well. A couple of weeks after I had the supercharger fitted I had to go and get the extractors re-fitted because the standard gaskets sh*t themselves which of course cost extra because the supercharger had to be removed to get at them!

Overall I am really happy with it, plenty of power in the bush and a better drive on road, fuel economy on LPG is pretty good but not so much on petrol because of the extra 2 injectors installed. Next on the agenda is an intercooler and maybe a pulley upgrade for more boost.

cheers

I have the 97 model with the Sprintex kit..I too have the twin injector kit....Do you find the power quite notchy thru the rev range or is yours just a smooth progressive power...I suspect on gas its great,But I had my gas removed and have installed a Longranger tank to hold extra fuel for long range runs...
How long has it been since installing it...What air filter do you have in it..I had a K&N and it got blamed for the Supercharger premature failure...Supposedly it didnt filter well enough and the 1st Supercharger failed with not even 5000klms...Because my car was used to field test a lot of there improvements(they have probably had it for 4 months in the last yr)...They did replace it free of charge..However I,ve had a lot of problems with it over the past yr...
Is your car a manual or auto..I assume its a manual with the hp quoted...Be aware of your viscous fan...If you rev the bollocks out of it offroad it WILL go thru your radiator...It will hit your Supercharger idler tensioner on the engine side (check your fan and you,ll see rub marks) which in turn will cause it to vibrate from impact and then it will have the opposite effect and collect on the lower part of the radiator shroud which you cant see from above and then grab and consequently go thru the bottom fins of the radiator...I,ve done 2 already...I now run a ford twin thermo shrouded fan system instead, of which increases pwr marginally and revs a lot freer and quieter than the original setup...If you have a manual...Did /do you find that the Clutch master cylinder is rubbing hard against your inlet duct ....there is a modification for it otherwise it will either brake your slave off or wear a hole in the duct....Did your kit come with the amended tensioner with side walls on the front billet plate so as the supercharger belt doesnt fly off every other cnr mostly on deceleration...
For any further queries just ask...

I find the power to be smooth through the rev range, no issues with that.

It's been just over 10000k's since it was installed so it's due for a service which I will be doing on the weekend. I have a K&N air filter which was recommended by the installer but I drove it for about 500k with the standard filter and didn't really notice any difference. I have the older style air box and the filter fits perfectly in there but have seen forum posts from others indicating that the K&N filter did not fit properly in other 80 series.

My car is a manual, I don't really rev it to extremes offroad but I will keep that info in mind. I haven't noticed any rub marks on the shroud but it's nearly buggered anyway as well as the fan so they both need to be replaced in the near future.

No issues with the inlet duct and the clutch master cylinder.

Yep it has the amended tensioner so no problems with the belt coming off.

The only issue I have had was a few weeks after picking it up the add-on computer dropped it's map and needed to be re-programmed. No problems since then.
