Hey all,
Ive recently joined the forum for the radio rock crawlers but I couldnt help but look around the other threads and now Ive been tempted into toying with my 4 runner.
All I really want to do is find out if anyone has successfully gotten 33's under their 4 runner (22 r petrol motor ) and how they have done so. Im in Brisbane so Im also wondering if there are any buisnesses in the area that you guys might suggest that could help me out.
I have already lifted the rear 2 inches and slightly adjusted the front torsion bars all thanks to ARB Northside.
Thanks for you help !

Hey mate, I'm running 33's on 15x10's with BIG offset wheels on my current 94 4runner. It has a 2" susp. lift and a 3" bodylift. They rub slightly on full lock full travel but that is mainly due to the width and offset of the rims.
If you want to keep it legal (the 33's won't be) you can just do a 2" bodylift and 33's will fit on 15x8 rims with little rubbing.
The bodylift is a piece of cake. There is pics and that on my website:

Hilux/4runner will always rub out on the back of the front guards with 33 inch tyres, the only real soloution is to move the diff forward about 40mm.
But because you have IFS its going to make that a tad hard.
You can lift the body 2 or 3 inches which will help out but it will still rub on its topmost travel, ie when the wheel is right up in the guard.
Mine has 33's with 4" suspension lift and 3" body and i can still get them to rub out. Kinda sucks but because i want to fit 35's ive now got to fit X-over steering and move the diff forward to accomodate them.

Here is a link which tells exactly what you need to do to fit 33's on any IFS Hilux/4runner, there's not much to do.
