Reccomendations for wheel/front end alignment central coast

Post by Elmo »

Hi all, just wondering about best place on the centrral coast to get a GOOD wheel alignment as i've just worn out another set of front tyres, which is the second set ruined inside 6 months... First time they were toed in too much and scrubbed out outside half of tread this time its scrubbed out inside half of tread and I cant afford to keep buying 2x35" tyres every couple months.

So does anyone know somewhere that WILL get it right? Its a SAS'd 99' hilux with trail gear hi steer so it will have to be someone who can handle custom stuff.... And willing to go over the ENTIRE front end to figure out WHY I keep wearing out tyres, ie:maybe its something bent and not just poor alignment....

So anyone got any proven shops you could reccomend?????

Have you tried some of the truck places in West Gosford Rob??

Or surely Jamie would know where to go.

Dont go to Beaurepaires in Wyong either, I went in there for a wheel allignment a while back, with the 33s on, their tyre clamp thing was too small.
I ended up going to Pit Stop at Nth Wyong, they did an ok job, but I wouldnt go there with hi-steer though.

You could try Dom at Selby suspension, just off Tuggerah straight, next to John Cootes.
Hes a good guy and knows his stuff, unsure about his knowledge of hi-steer on a Lux though.
He is a steering specialist, so would be worth a trip to see him. Alot closer to you than West Gosford is to.

There is a truck wheel alignment place at.west gosford you turn the opposite way to the bait and tackle shop. They advertise truck wheel alignment and would prob be your best bet. I havnt used them though.
