ute to wagon wiring loom td42 conversion help

Post by Rik178m »

Hi all, I'm doing a td42 conversionto my gq wagon. It was a tb42. The TD was a ute. The wiring loom is different, it doesn't match under the passenger seat and it doesn't have things like power windows etc.

How do I adapt my TB42 loom?

I'm guessing I need to extend the Alternator wires, add a push button for the glow plugs, use the diesel dash cluster, but what else needs doing? Any pics or diagrams would be great.

Tried searching but didn't find much

Thanks

Mate we have just done the same thing, its very time consuming sorting the rear window demister, wipers, door locks etc. Do yourself a big favor and just go and buy a wagon loom, you will be surprised at the problems you will hit. Little things like the loom that runs behind the air con panel, its different, the aerial is different. Oh shit it was a night mare, thought it would be easy, I think it ran us close to 2 days to sort it all. Don't waste your time

If I'm keeping the wagons loom can I not just extend the alt wiring and add a push button then? The shell I want to use is the wagon.
