Don't you need an open to weld it? Don't think an lsd is weldable?

Dont weld it, just shim it up so it is nice and tight. I run a really tight LSD in the rear of my comp truck and love it. Best $10 I ever spent.

I made my own shim out of sum plate bout 1.5mm thick. I ended up with a rear locker it is solid any time you use any throttle, but if you just roll though corners it will stay open.

To answer your question it is easy to weld up a LSD or non LSD centre , there are a shit load of them out there, probably more than some people would think, mainly in the hilux area.

I also reccommend just reshimming the LSD or going for a ARB or Lokka when its within your budget , welded centres are okay but you cant beat a proper locker.
