2004 Logan Challenge

Post by Marshy »

This is an early notification.

I am organising this year's Logan Challenge. It will be held again in late October. Dates and venue to be advised. I just want to get it out there as early as possible, and hopefully, we can get some awesome teams for this year's comp.
I have set up an email address specifically for Logan Challenge enquiries. You can email to:

loganchallenge2004@yahoo.com.au

P.S - If there are any businesses that are interested in sponsering this year's Logan Challenge, please let me know. I need as many as I can get!!
Simon.

Marshy,
Pending the sucess or failure of Saturdays night run, I'll give you a hand.
Will speak to management about some kind of sponsoring as well.

Pete, the format won't change a hell of a lot from past years, I think we have a pretty good format, and I want to stick to it. At this stage, I am toying with the idea of reducing the numbers from 12 to 10 teams. Purely because I think it is less complicated to run 10. The stages will be, at the very least, as difficult as last year. As I competed last year myself, I have a few ideas as to how I can change or twist things to make them a little more interesting. But, you'll all have to wait for that.......

Thanks Ben. All help will be welcomed.
As far as sponsership, I'm not sure what we need just yet, so just have a chat with them and see if they are intersted at this stage.

Cheers mate.

Hey guys, sorry for the lack of updates on the Challenge. Haven't had an internet connection while I moved house.

I have confirmed Black Duck Valley 4WD Park as the venue again this year. I am definately downsizing to a 10-team competition. The entry fee is confirmed at $100 per team. The driving will be harder than last year, and so will the physical side of it. (Bring your Weeties for Saturday morning. ;) )
I am currently working on the rules and regs, and will post them up as soon as I have completed them.

Cheers guys.

P.S - So, who's in the OL's team?? (I'm allowing up to 38" tyres!!) hint, hint RUFF. :D

Bugger!

I was gonna ask Shane (Big Red) & Paul (Staib Racing) to be in our club team.

Yeah mate, Black Duck is a goer.

Hoping to get to work on the sh*tbox in the next few weeks. On the subject, anyone know where one would locate a seal kit for a factory 40 Series Landcruiser power steering box??

There is a place on the service road at Springwood that would more than likely have them or be able to get them. They are across the road from KFC. Cant think of the name of the place but they sell new cars.

Thanks Tony. That's Toyota. They'll probably have it, but dear as poison. I'll check it out.

Thanks Link. That one was obvious. Usually get all my stuff there. Don't know why I didn't think of dropping in to see them. My dumb.

Seriously try All About Steering and Suspension in Moss Street they should have a kit. I dont think there is much difference in all the Toyota Power steer kits.

Simon, please pencil me in for a team, I have one in mind. Just send me a form. I have been unable to get to the meetings for awhile due to the AFL season starting and Jimmy's footy training so I haven't seen a magazine for months.
