About HD-E distributor

Post by nozik »

Hi, all!
I live in the Minsk of Belorussia & have a Feroza HardTop (F300) 1991
My question: What are the dimensions of rubber “O”-ring at distributor?
Thanks!

Hi, are you talking about the O ring that seals the distributor shaft into the engine's head (ie the oil seal)? Or the rubber gasket that goes between the distributor's plastic cap and alloy body?

Exactly - "O" ring that seals the distributor shaft into the engine's head

:D Try removing the spaces in the image name.

I'll grab my vernier callipers later tomorrow (today? it's 1am here....) and measure the o ring on my spare distributor.

OK, bearing in mind that the o ring on mine is used and flattened out a bit:

The outside diameter is 37.0mm, the diameter of the rubber forming the o ring is ~ 3.5- 4mm. It's hard to give accurate measurements due to the o ring being deformed.

The actual distributor shaft measures 36.0mm max and 30.0mm where the o ring sits- so the above figures for the o ring should be right.
