Hilux wiring plug thingy, help needed

Post by DUDELUX »

Hey guys.
I normally dont venture into this section of our forum, as wiring is soo far beyond me its not funny, but Im currently stuck with a wiring issue.

Ok, the story is...
Dudelux Yellow Edition is almost done, I need to get this wiring issue sorted before I can drive around again.

Heres a pic of the offending plug/wiring.

The plug at the snapped end, joins another plug, under the stereo, and goes through a hole just in front of the gearstick, and one of the round plugs goes to the gearbox, and the other round plug goes to the transfer case. Im pretty sure that the wiring Im stuck on shouldnt be a problem, because of where they go, but Id still like to get it sorted asap.

I cant remember cutting/breaking the wiring but its done, so I need to sort it out.

How do I get the plug apart/wires out of the plug??
I tried to pull the wires out with some pliers, from both ends, but couldnt get them out.

I think the best way to do it properly, would be 1 wire at a time, so I can make sure Ive got the right wire in the right spot.

Sorry for the dumbass noob type question, but when it comes to anything electrical, I have less than no idea.

Can anyone help me??

Thanks

I'm no expert but try a very small thin blade flat screwdriver (jewelers type)in the plug as they have a little lug inside which holds them in. If any of that makes sense or try auto parts store for a new plug.
