sweet .
looks like we will have to limit this to 40 entrants over 2 classes for this to run smoothly .
so get your noms in early if you are serious about competing .
just a reminder this is a totally different format to previous years it is not over the top in difficulty but will take alot of team work to last the distance and be consistant.
the night stage under lights for the buggys and truggys will be a rock race and will be awsome to watch.

I'd like to take this opportunity to encourage all those who wish to nominate for the modified class to FARK OFF!! :D . The less people i have to race against the more chance i've got of not looking like a nonce and getting somewhere

There's a crew of us coming down from CQld to hit up the Scenic Rim - King of the Rim again!
We haven't missed one yet! And love getting to check out some of the machinery on display!

Sounds like you guys have got a really good grip on the track early this year and it's great to hear competitiors already putting their hands up to put on a show!

Bring on NOVEMBER! Gonna be a good month!

For those of us interstate and unable to get to the site until the day, any chance of a rundown of the course and what sort of terrain to expect so we (namely me) can set up the car right? Guesstimate length/time per lap? ratio of speed work vs hard crawling?

Milo

the terrain is mixed about 60/40 speed to crawling but alot of the crawling will be 2nd or third low .
the play area will comprise of jumps .woops.vertical climbs .steep drop offs .tyres and wombat holes.
approx 12 to 14 km long and will take at least 40min to do a lap .
i will put up exact length and time as soon as we can get a vehicle out there with a gps to do a lap.
there will be alot of over taking and expect to get held up now and then due to traffic .

what sort of speeds do you think the fastest cars will see? and an you think the average speed will be 20km/h?
how are you meant to stay on track gps, or just well sign posted?
the night run is crampys climb goin to be made easier? other wise it would be a massive bottle neck
is there a link to the car specs some where, that i can check out to see how much i would have to do to my car, to get it to conform with the rules

hey tim
on a couple of the open sections track speed will be 80/100kph but average speed i am not entirly sure .
vehicle specs should be on page 1 .
the track will be clearly marked with 500x500 arrows and is mainly on the existing tracks through out the park.
just an example the main track that you drove on going up to calls is one of the faster sections the rest will be slower.

Hell no. We all drooled over your performance in KOH2010 so there's no way we'd let you get wheel time against us :finger:
