well the time has come,the 350 in the patrol is very tired,so ive got 3 choices that i can think of-
1-re-build the old engine
2-buy crate motor
3-change to a 5.7 gen3
whats every ones ideas,got about 6k to spend.thanks

personally i would get a crate motor [350] as you already have the same engine in it already so cuts out heaps of problems with putting a different kind of engine in .just my 2 cents worth. ;)

The LS engine will bolt straight in with the gear you have but then you have to do all the EFI stuff like the surge tank, pumps and wiring etc. Just depends on how much hassle you want. If you just want a straight in straight out deal then a crate motor will do just nice but the EFI will perform much better off road.
