help

Post by xXrhodieXx »

i have a mq running a L28, recently it has started missing really bad between 1000-2000 revs, i replaced all the usual stuff, fuel filter, coil, leads, plugs, but no improvement, when i am backing off the revs it misse's bad to and starts to backfire, i am leaning toward a fuel prob. Has anyone else out there had this problem, when the foot is down it runs fine, also idle's perfect.

If you replaced most of the ignition system, it's probably the carb. Give it a good clean and check the tune. Pull a couple of the new plugs and have a look at the tip. What colour are they?

I would replace the distributor, rotor button and ignition coil if you haven't all-ready. Then if that doesn't work get the carbi serviced and it will be fantastic.

I had a MK with a L28 and they are a fantastic truck.
