Hi flow 65mm throttle body
After running some calculations as the pro's and con's I have bitten the bullet and purchased a hi flowed 65mm throttle body and had a spare plenum chamber modified and ported. I had this done by Racing Performance Works in Perth. This is the first 3.0 liter sohc 12 valve they have done, all before have been 24 valve engines. The Paj already runs extractors, hi flow cat and 2.5 " exhaust. It as always seemed a bit choked performance on the open road, particularly when towing the camper trailer. I am hoping, so it the finance manager, that this will provide a welcome boost in performance. Any thoughts as to the outcome ?

It's all fitted up and running like a dream. The only adjustment was to the idle speed screw. Much more punch in the bottom to mid range and off road it is great fun. Mud is a bit of a worry though as a bit of throttle = lots of wheel spin

The plenum chamber needed quite a bit of welding and machining to fit the throttle body. The total cost was $1165.00 including freight .The inlet and outlet fittings on the throttle body needed to be repositioned to align with the coolant hoses and the hoses need to be shortened. A easy job, just unbolted the plenum chamber with throttle body attached and bolt on the new one with 65 m throttle body. I would post a finished pic if I knew how.
