hey mate late reply but i didnt buy it brand new i paided 26k as it sits there
although a mate of mine paided 32k for a demo about a month ago
a cv makes a continuious click click click click click click click click click click click click click when you are turning.
If it's a one off click or an irregular click it's probably suspension/steering link joint/bush worn out or fowling on something.
You'll have to jack it up and turn the steering and get in there with a pry bar and start replacing anything that looks suss. Could start with the anti roll bar bushes.
The worst part about being told you have Alzheimer's, is that it doesn't just happen once.
hey sam,
we had a similar noise in a dmax about 3 months ago. I found that if you take the auto hub off which ever side you think is making the noise, and pull the tiny little 1 or 2 little tin washers out from behind the circlip on the cv shaft it went away.
Might be worth a try in your case, if not put tuem back in.
Cheers Mitch

But on this particular vehicle the c.v shaft was held that tight against the seal by the shims and circlip that it was making a high pitch noise, and the shims physically wouldnt fit back in.
Just my 2c Mitch
