Sloshy you can pay on the day because the internet site is not set up properly yet. If possible could you nominate as per the first post.
This allows us to get some idea of numbers and your contact details if the Round postponed due to weather or other things out of our control.

Had a chance to speak with the owners of The Springs 4x4 Park about fee's for entry to the park for Round 3.
Competitors
Tow Vehicles are FREE  but are not to be driven around the park unless towing trailer with comp truck.
Competitors vehicles pay $50 for the Weekend. Sat - Sun.
Camping
To camp Saturday - Sunday is $55 per Vehicle.
To camp Friday - Sunday is $70 per Vehicle.
Camping is charged at a per vehicle rate and covers entry for the vehicle and the legal number of occupants that the vehicle is legally allowed to carry to drive around the park and camp for the night.
Day Tripper rates are $20 per day per vehicle
Catering
Catering will be done over the weekend from Saturday Morning to Sunday arvo( thats breakfast Sat/Sun, Lunch Sat/Sun and what is available from the food van for Tea Sat Night) by the owners and their food van which should be located close to the central area.
Does anyone want tea specially catered for on Saturday so that they dont have to cook Saturday Night?????
If you do please notify Tough Tracks 4x4 Club either on here, facebook or via email info@toughtracks4wdclub.org so that we can give The Springs some notification on numbers and whether we will go ahead with it.
Regards,
Tough Tracks 4x4 Club :)

Only a month to go till Round 3 at The Springs. The park has been organized and track building will be held on Sept 3rd for anyone wanting to come out and help.
Brett & Mitch are unable to attend due to other commitments so if anybody from Outlaw Class wish to have their input then you are very welcome and encouraged to attend.
This Round Challenge & Outlaw classes will be run on the same tracks for the weekend due to limited Officials that are available for that weekend.

Yep any help from Outlaw competitors welcomed. Although most of the tracks we have set for Challenge class have been pretty difficult, so i guess we just step it up a bit more and tighten up the lines. Apparently there is a creek run that has never been driven with plenty of exit points for recoveries etc. I'm excited to see it and look forward to running some fourbies through it. We may even get to name it....

Cheers

So who's coming up for track building?
I know that Rick & Brett are heading up Friday afternoon and Pete Forsyth & myself are heading up Saturday morning early.

Well the tracks have been set out for Round 3 - and it should be interesting for all classes.
Pete Forsyth looked after Trophy Class tracks, Brett & myself sorted out the Modified tracks and Rick, Kent & Rob sorted out Challenge / Outlaw tracks.

Rolly unfortunately was not able to make it to track building, so we have done our best to make him proud of the Outlaw tracks.
Outlaw will be run by Rick on the same tracks as Challenge Class with a number of different lines. I will be helping Rick run these tracks and there will be discussion with the Outlaw competitors for their input prior to the start of each track to ensure that it is neither too tame nor too difficult.

NOTE _ _ _ _ NOTE _ _ _ _ NOTE _ _ _ _
All competitors will be required to attend drivers briefing. This includes navigators. There are some rule changes that will be announced at drivers briefing including the use of 'snatch-um straps' as ski ropes and how they are to be used (for Challenge & Outlaw vehicles only), and changes to the Rock Stacking rule.

With LOTS of big rocks & slopes, we will be focusing on SAFETY. Please ensure that you all read the rules regarding the use of safety equipment. Navis must wear safety vests, gloves, helmets & shoes & drivers must have helmets, window nets, goggles if required etc. Battery isolators must work properly and fire extinguishers and 1st aid kits must be on board. Use of straps will be carefully monitored. We will NOT compromise on Safety.

Don't forget, if you want a sit down dinner on Saturday night, you must ring The Springs and book it - the food van will be around the main camping area as well.

So who's coming and what class will you be competing in? Many people still nominate & pay on the day - so it will be good to get some numbers. So even if you have nominated already please put your name up here.

Well the 3 Bundys, Team Jaffa, Blue Bundy & Team Hulk will be there to give it to the Suzuki's in Trophy class. :finger:
Unfortunatly Team A1's Hilux from Challenge Class got a bit broken on the weekend and is still in a few pieces hopefully where they left it. So it is not looking good to be at Round 3. :bad-words:
And yes it is up the creek without its vitals paddle :x and no Team Barney you cant go up there and steal parts off it even if some of them are hanging off it. :fist:

All tracks for all classes are going to be very spectator friendly. Along with fantastic camping facilities, it should be a great event for anyone thinking of coming out and having a look.

There are also some great tracks for all Challenge and Outlaw. Some chances of roll overs if the teams get it wrong, but nothing too damaging.

I hope you get the Hilux going Team A1.

We will be there in Barney. We may even enter it twice and both of us have a drive, especially if we can get out and get some bits off A1,s before they get back to it...

The tracks look good for Challange class, hopefully the changes to the tracks for Outlaw are what they are looking for, they look good to me.

See everyone there

Hey Bruce

Yep saw your payment plus a few others great to see.

For those not yet nominated: to save $10 on entry fee, register and pay prior to the event. Email info@toughtracks4wdclub.org and they will send you the forms. Once you entry is in, you will receive bank account details. Pay by next Wednesday and I can check it has gone through, plus print and bring a copy of your online receipt. PLEASE put your car number or surname in the description so we can tell where the money has come from (cough Steve cough...) Saves our lovely admin girls a heap of work on the day and gets the event going quicker on Saturday morning.

I know Bruce, I didn't put Swanny down in that list either because they don't exactly sell tents or steering arms...

But yes, we love Digital Still  This weekend would be a great time to see them about any collage prints from the year or ordering a disk of photos. A great memento, especially if you've had a ripper year!
