V4AW3 torque converter lockup (manual override)

Does anyone know whether it's possible to lockup the torque converter in 1st gear?
Transmission is V4AW3 from an '94 NJ 3.5 DOHC.
94 NJ SWB, 3.5 V6, Auto, susp+body lift, 33x12.6 Maxxis Bighorns, AISIN hubs, ARB bar + tigerz11 2-speed winch, sliders, ARB and factory lockers.

I have the same vehicle and have been told we don’t have a “lock up” type torque converter. The tiptronic may do.

I pretty sure the box locks up in 4th and 3rd. Not sure about second, and I have my doubts about 1st. But you never know!

If it will lock up in 1st, then I was thinking of putting a momentary push-button on the shift lever near the overdrive button. Then when approaching a steep descent, press and hold the button for extra engine braking...

Update: locks up in 2nd too.
