I think my reply to this topic the last time it got posted was something along the lines of:

If the 16. vit engine bolts up to the 1.3 5 speed then possibly a 1.6 auto would bolt up to a g13???

Overkill Engineering (previously known as Overkill (previously known as Sam)) was also donig something with autos for a sierra... I think they were Corolla engines?

Have a little search - Sam posted up some stuff about it a while ago.

grab an early vitara auto an t/case, remove b/housing,pump and 1st planetry set ( and spacer disc), transplant into std 4cyl torana trimatic and jam sierra t/case behind.

or as i did
keep viitara t/case behind remove output and drop leg, keeping reduction unit and put a flange on output shaft then sierra t/case = 1.81 x 2.24 x ???

If i work on that formula,I would have 1.81 x 2.24 x 6.1 =10.4544:1 before i got to the diffs.
Dam that would be low...
