84 305 chev into 90 hzj75?

hey guys, can i legally put a 1984 305 chev into my 1990 hzj75 in qld? dont really want to run gas either,i picked up a really really cheap 305 that needs a rebuild but dont want to spend the money if i cant do it. cheers Mick

Talk to an engineer, but I reckon gas will be required.

It's going to have to be fuel injected to be legal on petrol.

would just be easier selling the chev and dropping in a injected 5 litre im guessing?

Would be a nicer engine, but not really easier to install.
