1HZ extractors for a 75 series -> fit on 80 series?

Post by De-lux »

Hi team,

I scored some cheap cheap extractors on fleabay to suit my engine (1HZ) but I'm told they're designed to suit a 75 series.. Does anyone know if they will fit my HZJ80?

After looking at the current space in the engine bay and the direction the extractors go, it seems they go inside the chassis rails (in stock form it appears they go outside the chassis rails).

Does this make sense to everyone?

Hey Tobie,

So your saying the 75 series 1HZ extractors run outside the chassis rails, but poke through the front wheel arch too??

if the extractors do exit inside of the chassis rail, you could re-route your exhaust on the 80series so it runs between the chassis and transfer case.
I fitted a full 3" exhaust system on my 80series between chassis and transfer/gearbox etc. There is room for 3" all the way to the rear, it is tight in places, but is 100% acheivable
