Hey all i wanna install a small tacho in my diesel 80 series cruiser just wanting some help as to how to go about this? Ive done one b4 on my old commodore but not sure how to do this on the diesel motor.

You'll need to use a "Diesel" Tacho which gets it's signal from the alternator. You then connect it to the "W" terminal of the alternator. Not all alternators have this terminal, but it's not a major job to have the alternator modified to add the wire into it.

In the turbo diesel 80series, the tacho signal comes from the injection pump
