Sai is out, but I will be taking his place in the Offroad Boss 60 series ute. I'm competeing as a reserve, meaning if we fill the entry list and there's someone else that wants to compete, I will pull out to let them race. But it would have to be through pre entry, I'm not pulling out on the day.

With most of the competitors taking advantage of the cheaper entry fees along with our staff, marshals and officials we have filled the valley campsites.

Our popular southern ridgeline campsites are still available and now open for public bookings if you also want to take advantage of the cheaper entry rates.

With the newly cleared overflow camping area we will be taking bookings but this site will be first in best spots.

We are now selling day visitor spectator tickets. People in these cars will be parked up outside the gate till after the speed section of the competition round 4pm then they will be able to drive up for the drag and night sections of King of the Rim.
The main spectator viewing points are around dam one and on the hill side of campsite 3 so walking during the day is not too far to all the action.

To pay for the pre-booking tickets visit our website http://www.scenicrimadventurepark.com.au" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; or ring Wendy on 0438766697

just to let everyone know .
this event will still be run no matter what the weather conditions are . we have tested the track when wet and it is not an issue .
but common sense and caution will have to be taken in some areas .

We went out after the rains yesterday morning and were very suprised to find the tracks are still drivable even after alot of rain. The sandy soil thats out there seems to soak up the water very quickly and i could still get around with my wifes Navara. :?
The 4wd road in/out is accessable even in heavy rain, as we found out yesterday afternoon, as we quickly vacated the park during a good downpoor after running the Suspension Stuff Challenge.

Was trying to get to this to help set out tracks, but too much damage done to my truck by the rocks at the last suspension stuff challenge.

Have a good day anyway guys.

Hey Al, you did less damage at winch challenges by the sound of it. Get the winch going again.

Hi all,

Is there a way for spectators to get up to the night stage without 4x4?

Thanks

ross you cant get a 2wd up to cals climb . it is a bit far to walk so a min of a soft roader is needed .
i am sure if you asked around there would be some spare seats to hitch a ride .

Thanks to everyone who put in a huge effort today! A lot was accomplished

The track is shaping up nicely, thanks to mickyd555's for making all the arrows (if you guys get lost, you need to get your eyes checked  )

Thanks to Rob for the loan of the star pickets, team Sloshy for helping mark the track, Darren, Brenden, Alex and Dan for all your help an input.

Thanks Dan for the lunch time entertainment, its not every day we get to see the underside of your daily driver

Only a few weeks to go now, so hope all the teams preparation is going to plan. Bring on race day!

Cheers Brett and Mitch

got a heap of work done yesterday on the track its looking real good .
spectator areas are bunted off and i would suggest people to take a shade shelter to make things more comfortable during the day .
spectator parking area at cals climb is sign posted ans bunted off and the top of crampys is bunted and ready to go .
we have to do a bit more log clearing in a few places but its all coming together .
just a note to all extreme mod competitors. if you want to drive the night stage you are more than welcome but it wont be timed and you will have to run at the back of the field .
even if you want to start half way up cals would be ok as i know the first part puts alot of strain on parts .

hope all you vehicle prep is coming along well

Has anyone done sums on how much fuel they are going to use,or how they are going to store it in the pit area, are we able to drive up to the pit area early to drop off fuel? just our car is thirsty.

Are we able to still do a pre run on friday if we are there early enough?

Thanks,
Russell
