6 point cage in ute

Hey all, Looking to put a 6 point cage in my 80 series, that is soon to be a ute.

Question is regarding the rear back stays, Where do I attach them to and how. Obviously they can't attache direct to the chassis becaue the rest of the cage is attached to the body, which is rubber mounted.
Could I run the rear stays to one of the back body mount points on the chassis and just bolt the rollcage plates to the body mounts? Or should I use a trailing arm style bush at the chassis end.
I would prefer to not solid mount the cab.
I would like the cage to pass CAMS if required in the future

5.6.1 CAB CHASSIS VEHICLES
Due to space considerations in the cabin of cab chassis vehicles either a flexible joint shall be
used through rear of cab bulkhead or two separate roll cages shall be constructed.
The main rollbar in the cabin shall be within 150mm of the occupants’ heads but shall not
overhang the occupants. If there is insufficient room within the cabin the two diagonal cross braces
may be within the main roll bar to the rear of the cab.

Thanks for that, i had looked at the CCDA site a while back, must have missed that bit, I only knew about the 2 cages rule.

Whilst on cages, what's the best way to pass a rear brace through the rear of the cab?

Is it cut a hole (and let the rain in) or terminate the brace both sides of the cab and bolt them together?

This isn't a comp vehicle it's an ICV and needs to pass seat belt tests and this is the way the Engineer wants me to go.

I'd be a bit cautious about going off of CCDA rules for a CAMS cage
They are 2 very different beasts.

A number of blokes that I know that have raced CCDA events (Cliffhanger) and then decided to do CAMS events have had to change their cages.

CAMS have a manual online - as well as a list of inspectors in your area!
They would be best to contact directly as they will give you the tech info you need - and then be able to CAMS logbook your car at a later date for you.
