Tyre Carrier question

Post by tampy »

G'day all,

Need some help. I've attached some pics of my GQ 2 showing the tyre carrier. The stock tyre carrier is still on but I want to change it to an after market job same as the other. The truck is ex-telstra. I can't find any plates or labels to identify the carrier.

It would be great if anyone could tell me if it's a telstra contracted make or a branded one.

I want to do this because they overlap each other and I can't get bigger tyres them without mucking around with spacers etc.

Cheers

Looks like a contracted one.

Yeah I thought it looked custom. I think I'll do some welding this weekend.

Thanks

Looks like the rear bars that were fitted to a lot of Government vehicles that operated away from the city. Don't know who made them though :?
