Hay all, did a search through and couldn't find much info on this problem I have with my 73 fj45, it has just a standard 2f with a 4 sp in it, had the truck for a little of a year now and when I first bought it I did a major tune and dyno and never had a drama, however went for a trip up to Fraser last week and snapped 3 sets of points, 1st set has been in since I did tune and next two sets were Bosch ones I brought brand new and fitted on the side of the road, I've ruled out a condenser problem as it isn't burning them off, dosent have a collapsed bearing in the shaft and appears to have no runout so it has to be straight. Has anybody ever heard of this problem or have any idea on how to rectify it??? Any help would be muchley appreciated!
Thanks guys!
Josh.

Re: 2F snapping points!
If I read you right, it sounds like a pretty significant installation error.
But it's hard to understand exactly what's happening, can you put up some photos?

This is not legal advice.
