Okay, so Shannon's third vehicle is still an unknown.

Any teams definately still chasing a third vehicle? I hear that
Ben Macamley & Mark thomas are still chasing a third vehicle but I do not have contact details or user names so I cannot ask them directly.

I only have a couple of things to do the vehicle (window nets, cable dampeners and painting recovery points, 3rd part extension) to have vehicle up to spec for competing but I would rather know I am definately able to race before spending the time & $$$ for the last minute items. And the 38s are under 940mm so I can use them

I am around all week so I am able to catch up with anyone to chat do for a drive.

Cheers,

Bally, if you get a choice in Dr I strongly recommend Dr Micheal South from up in Rocky, best Dr you will find and very practical. He has done a fair bit of work on me in the past and I would never go to another ortho again.

camping= opposite side of big lagoon where the moto club shed and shower block is.
Tracks= closest day track will be where Hally rolled it trying to drive that really easy hill, other tracks will be an extra couple hundred metres from there (one lot morning then move over to other area for afternoon stages)
and night stages are where last years were held,

I'm definately looking forward to this weekend!

Gonna be a heap of fun checking out all the rigs! Will be great seeing the teams working together!

Shieldsy the OC team are on the Mic for the weekend - so as long as TT is cool with it we'd be more than happy to accommodate a guest commentator! - although you'll have to limit your consumption for the event and remember that it is a family show. Will mix it up a bit and keep it fun!

Also we will have some OC stickers to hand out during the event and even some tattoo's for the kids!! Make sure you come and say hi and grab one off of either Josh or I!

Definately looking forward to seeing who comes out victorious! Serious bragging rights on offer! Keen!

There are defiantly some serious cq bragging rights on offer for the win, but the amount of competition between Gladstone teams is huge! Alot of smack getting thrown around, new trucks, new drivers, new navi's. Not one team comes to mind that have raced together! Ok I need to sit down. So excited.

hey mate, it will be a nice quick trip for you!

Head out of 1770/Agnes and turn right at the Fingerboard 'T' intersection as if you were heading to Miriam Vale, along that stretch of road (not sure on km's) there will be another T intersection on the left hand side of road, with the tree plantation paddocks either side of it, I'm pretty sure the green sign says "lowmead" if not there will be a large sign saying "4x4 event" or something along those lines there aswell,
take that left and stay on the main road (will go to dirt) until you go under a train bridge, then we will have another sign directly after it with the right hand turn onto "Clarkes road" being the one you want to turn onto and follow all the way until you reach "clarkies petrol heads paradise" the comp is held on this property and there will be people at the gate Saturday to point you in the right direction to get to the comp area (if not come out Friday and camp for the weekend)

Hopefully my directions make sense haha,

Gudge I don't think the heightened blood pressure, diziness and nuezia is from the excitement.... You should go see a doctor! After your teams "bonding" session you very well may be pregnant! Gee golly gosh it's going to be hard to work out which one of the 5 guys is the dad! :finger:

Event Update

Just to give everyone a bit of an idea on how the day is planned to to flow (weather permitting :D )

Sat morning: Drivers briefing
Competitors/ Specators and Marshalls travel in convoy over to morning stage area (same area as last year)

Stages 1-2-3 are all in the same area and are the planned morning stages with them
hopefully being done and dusted/ mudded by 11:30am

Lunch break

Stages 3-4-5-6 are in the creek system where the Sun stage last year was run and Paul in the blue rangie rolled, these stages will hopefully be done by 5:30pm

Night stages will be run in the same area of last years stages but with a different course layout after the safety issues from last year have been adressed!

Sundays stages will be a multi point gps run with 5 teams running at a time and the other teams doing a stage set up at the man made course used for the Mini Lowmead comp (rumours have it the use of ground anchors will be incorporated)

so that's the rough plan of the weekend guys! Gear you should remember to pack is:
Ground anchor for man made stage.
Ladder ramps for a rock garden which will be on one of the sat courses
GPS (and a navi who knows how to use them) for the gps stage,
Don't forget 3rd party insurance!!
Bring you own loo paper just incase theirs a shortage haha

Also at this stage there's no mud or water on any of the stages, but those who competed last year will know a bit of rain will produce alot of mud :D and possibly a couple half deep water holes where the creeks have to be crossed or driven in the stages.

And once again remeber NO GLASS and NO DOGS! Drink driving, hooning whilst not on stage and spectators goin off I to the property without permission will not be tolerated and will be dealt with accordingly!!

Those who arrive early on Fri please talk to Either of the Troys, Clint, Jonty or Dowie and discuss a safe area where you can go for a test run if it's needed!

Cheers Mosko

Good news so far. doesn't look like it will require surgery just torn ligaments on inside and outside of ankle and a bit of bone chipped off. So if you see me limping around on crutches come over and say hi. gotta meet most of you guys that ill be competing against once healed:)
