FMIC size?

Post by jbates58 »

hi all.

well, after a long winded debate with my brain, and some common sense. i have decided on my intercooler. im getting a xr6 turbo style one from plazmaman, in syndey. now, the best part is..... he can custom make them aswell, so im going 300 high, and 75mm thick, but what is the maximum width i should go? keep in mind, i have ac, and the ac fan, aswell as the rad, all are new. and i dont want it to overheat. so. patrol gods, how wide can i go?

https://www.plazmaman.com/shop/index.ph ... itemId=171" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

i will flip it over though, so that the pipe runs across under the cooler, and puts as much up in the cooling area as possible. it will have 2/2.5" plumbing, so as to minimize lag and i will bring the hot air in along the bottom pipe, and across the cooler, and back out and over the block to the intake. i have already got a custom plenum on the intake. and thats the way that the inlet is facing. and i dont realy wana change it.

i rang and spoke to a fella at plazmaman, at 6PM brissy time. thats 7PM syd. and he was still there, working away, and had a good informative long chat with him. so far, i can recommend their customer service.

so, what is the max width i can go? and has anyone used these coolers and can tell me if they are any good or not?

cheers
