75 series transfer woes

Post by johnnyt »

Gday guys

Ive got a 75series that i recently converted to 12ht, it is causing me some greif with popping out of 4wd.

I have replaced
both engine mounts
gearbox mount
washered the detent spring on the side of the transfer for extra tension.

so if it is in 4wd hi and i hit a bump it will pop into 2wd hi and if i am in 4wd low it will bump into 2wd lo

Any advice is greatly appreciated, before i swap transfers :( also can the transfer be unbolted while mounted in the vehicle or is it gearbox/transfer out jobby?

cheers lads!

I'm not too sure what's causing your problem but yes, the transfer can be replaced while the gearbox is still in the vehicle.
