Logan 4WD Club EXTREME GPS NIGHT RUN 3rd Dec

Post by LOGAN 4WD CLUB »

This is an EXTREME night run, you must be capable of self recovery to attend this event

GPS is essential you must be able to enter way points using Lat and Lon - (WGS84)

Hi folks, the 2011 LOGAN 4WD CLUB EXTREME GPS NIGHT RUN is on again, details as follows:

WHEN: Saturday 3rd December - Start at 5pm, vehicles on track by 6pm.

WHERE: Glasshouse Mountains

MEETING POINT: Watson Road, Glasshouse Mountains. This Road runs west off of Old Gympie Road, Glasshouse Mountains.
GPS REF: 26 52.946S - 152 55.010E

REQUIREMENTS: You will need a GPS and a First Aid Kit

RATING: EXTREME (Easier options to all Extreme Sections)

There will be parking for trailers at Watson Road. Space available, but trailer security is your responsibility.

Non club members are welcome, though we would like you to please buy some raffle tickets at the start to support the club, remember only two runs as a visitor before you are required to join.
All vehicles must have front and rear recovery points, and minimum of 1 Snatch Strap, 2 rated shackles, 1 x Tree trunk protector, 1x snatchblock and winch, all in good working order.
All vehicles must be able to self recover if required, although this is a club run event, it is not our responsibility to provide recovery, it is recommended to all people attending that they assess all sections prior to attempting them.
As it is a condition with all night runs these are drug and alcohol free events. This apply's for drivers as well as passengers. No exceptions will be made and anyone caught in breach of this will be asked to leave.

PLEASE NOTE: While planning this Night Run, we came across a lot of Brown Snakes, so wear appropriate clothing and footwear and have a First Aid Kit in your vehicle.

If anyone needs to know any more information please reply to this thread or email the club - logandistricts4wdclub@live.com.au

:D Yes, Piglets rig always looks the part! Its a good looking GQ.. Its good to see it actually gets used out in the rough stuff.. It may require some serious cleaning time after the Night Run though.. ;)

We might have to add some car wash and a Jumbo sized sponge in the raffle..

As stated in the details of the thread for the Nav run, space available for trailers at Watson Rd, but trailer security is your issue... :)

Just a question. Will there be officials at the start point all night. I know trailer security is our own problem but just having some one near by will stop most dishonest people

I think that has been answered, so you could always leave your Mum there, but remember to take her home at the end :) :) :) :)
