Unfortunately i also have to pull out. Looks like i have to move house either the weekend this is on or the one after, and the funds wont stretch far enough to do both. I think a replacement has been found already tho.

Only 4 more days for the trek to Toperi park.

Well we have finished our preparations for the Tough Dog Toperi Challenge 2011, the wombat holes are self draining, we have an all weather road into the site, and its pissing down rain!!! The forcast is pretty ordinary for the week, but it is supposed to be a cracker weekend.
Here is the official start order for the comp. Teams 1-17 will be starting stage 1, teams 18-34 will be starting on stage 2. Both stages will start at the same time.
The only bonus points this year is the log on stage 3, we have bunted the tracks quite wide so there is plenty of options to drive every stage cleanly. We cleaned out all the puss from the bottom of the conveyor on stage 1, so with a bit of mumbo most teams should drive it.

What are the advantages/ disadvantages of starting first ?

I guess I rather start before some fat-assed wheeler with 42s ;)

No real dissadvantage to anyone else other than zook drivers as they just fill up all the small holes for everyone else to drive over :D

in all seriousness i think the tracks should be really consistent as far as the track changing, so run order shouldnt be much of pro or con. I know how much i hate it when a track changes car to car like willow glen, makes the good cars look crap and the crap cars look good.
Good luck to all those madly preping there cars and look forward to some good drives and happy competitors.

Rain has eased today but regardless of the weather, Toperi will be on. Was out on site this evening and its not that wet, forcast says the majority of the rain has past.
