HELP, 3.8L v6 in my lux

Post by FC3892 »

Hello all, just about finished putting a V6 in and can't find the battery charge light wire. With out it i can't get any charge from the alternator..
Made a lil wire and light back to the battery to see if the alternator was good and got charge, so i need someone to tell me what wire it is!!! 1987 LN65 lux was a 2.4 non turbo diesel

Any help would be sweet

i have used the stock setup with a 16'' thermo.... have a issue tho atm, it's running bulk rich.... have swapped injectors and fuel rails... blown out lines and filters... swapped computers and map sensers..... checked voltages at the copmuter and they all read right... starts up fine and runs bulk bulk rich. All the voltages at the sensers and temp senders read fine also.... if you pull the computer out of mine and pit it in a nother car it runs fine........ have no clue where to look now.

was fine in the car befor it came out, if we pinch the fuel line befor the pumps to cut the fuel pressure it runs fine... but that isn't fixing the issue really.

They had a problem with crank angle sensors, but thought it caused cutting out and hard starting?
Does it have any fault codes?

Went to rip it out last night, but it's a early S1 with no bolt holes in the pully to get a puller on.... so wasn't able to swap the CAS... computer is giving no fault at all. :agrue: Give it a go today when i can get what ever i smash trying to remove it
