Turbo Identification- Ordered Garret- did mate get Garret?

Ladies Gents and Turbo Experts....

More details may follow but a mate has recently had what he had assumed was a Garret Turbo fitted to his 100 Series. Am slowly researching and putting the story together and with no obvious Garret Markings we are looking at the possibility of it having had a Safari one fitted instead. To add to all this the whole process ordering organising fitting was not a good experience then has left there and is some akward airy noises come from the turbo or something and making limited power. Store in question has had some mixed reports in recent times and a few changes go on but i will get my facts straight before getting to excited.
At this stage he is that cranky he wants no further contact and is having to take it elsewhere to get checked over.

From what i gather Garrets are clearly marked Garret ?
Safari's not so clearly marked ?

what motor was it fitted to. im assuming it was a 1hz .

what marking does the turbo have on it

Yes mate it was a 1hz. Am awaiting contact with the installer.

Safari I didnt think made turbos. They just make kits up. And once the kits is made up. They do absolutly zero R&D and making it better.
There installation instructions make mention of a TD06 turbo housing and TD06-18 on compressor side.
I dont know what that means just what I found.

edit - heres the link. There is a pic of the turbo which shows some letters/numbers between the two spinny bit housings.
