I'll let you know when I find one, I've been looking for months.
I want one just for the starter to run on so I can use a lightweight multi-plate clutch.

I saw a photo of one on a truck wrecking site in the US is the closest I've got.

Aren't 4.2 diesel and petrol blocks the same?
Are cranks the same?

Gearboxes and bell housings are the same I believe apart from the diesel having an extra bolt in the starter.....
Is it worth looking at a 4.2 petrol flex plate?

Or am I way off?
My friends aren't holding me back..... I'm pulling 'em forward.

TD42T cranks also have a larger bolt PCD and a bigger hub .

Machine up a hub to whatever diameter you need get a mounting face, then bolt a early model or TB flexplate to it.

Does the TB have the same starter gear?

I like your thinking though. I'll get one and see. I'll have to machine a hub up anyway for the clutch.

EDIT: I've been told Patrolapart has a few. Making enquiries now.

Mike
Yes TB and TD are the same ring gear etc.
That twin plate clutch and flywheel of mine was off a TB.
