What sort of engine are we talking? But generally no you can't. Easy enough to get an adaptor in most cases though.

Sorry I'm an idiot 1HZ you say... Do they have a 2 peice set up? Ie manifold that bolts up to a flange ? If so you can just get away with having an adaptor made to go from the manifold to the turbo. You'd be better served getting a better manifold made to spool the turbo up quicker and for less heat but your on a budget you say.

You could try to find a standard 1HDT manifold too...

Which CT26 do you have?

some ideas here mate.. 1hz does have the same split system so you could just get an adaptor made.

Seeing as you have a Toyota turbo, i would try to source the front piece of a 1HD-T manifold (80series factory turbo) the heads have the same exhaust manifold bolt pattern, the front piece of 1HD-T manifold will fit up to the rear piece from a 1hz.

As scanas says... which ct26 do you have..... while it says ct26 on the outside, they in fact came on some different engines (petrol/diesel), so the internals/externals can be significantly different... all with a ct26 stamp..... there are others on here who have much more knowledge, maybe they will chime in............

Post a pic of the number that is cast into the turbine housing and pic of the front compressor housing and you can tell what vehicle model it is from

As already said, the front piece of manifold from a 1HDT will fit and make it a bolt up arrangement. eBay is a good source for oil feed and drain flange. Make up some oil lines and all is good. Water cooling not required but better to have than not.

If turbo has 42040 stamped on the housing, you have the 7MGTE CT26 and it has a different bolt pattern for the wastegate actuator on the comp cover and the orientation yopu want wont be able to be had without welding on repocated WG actuator supports or getting a cover machined to suit the larger 7MGTE comp wheel. Turbine housing will also need to be changed as the 42040 wont do the business on a diesel. Look for 58010/58020 or 17010.

Without listing all the varients though, just let us know what you have and will go from there.

Fair enough, at least it has all the bolt on bits. I do a performance kit for 1HZ with alot better low end response than the DTS kit (hardly even need a boost compensator the boost response is so early - 10psi at 55km/h in 5th) - comes with Toyota 1HDT (new) manifold, the upgraded turbo, gaskets and oil and coolant lines - everything else you need to find. If you interested in that let me know. But... Im on holidays end next week until near end of Jan, so no turbos from me until then :-) Cheers
