1985 hj60 Budget crawler build

Hey iv got my hands on a free hj60 landcruiser and want to make it big and just about got any where i was thinking of doing a dule cab chop and a soa highsteer diff gears cheep front locker and a welded rear diff with some 37" tyers or biger and iv seen that they flex ok with standard springs withe spring over the it crosed my mind if you Could dos a shackl reversal on the front with like hilux ruf and hilux ifs rears in the back with a soa to make it realy flex but not sure how much it would move the diffs whats your thoughts on the idea ? And sory if i have miss spelt something

You won't need hilux springs. Stock 60 front springs, shackle reversal. 79 ute rear springs, flipped, superior drop shackles. SOA. This is illegal in QLD, will require engineering anywhere else and not sure on details to do so.

This will still not be a cheap project. Price your diff gears, high steer, shocks, tyres, locker, steel, and you will want longfields. It's a big truck for comps, heavy to tow, so you are really looking at a fun play toy. Easy build though.

Na its just for of road not regoed abd going to do all work by my self and i dont think drop shackles are worth the money

Weld the rear diff and drive it....

Haha we choped it today its a bit rough but we will tiedy it up later when we get more time anyone on here know of a good soa thred on here

We done sprungupcruisers middy last year, have a look in the members section. Also zoltans is a good one.
