Self jigging link bracket from locktup?
Hey guys
Just recieved my lower 25* link mounts and my 60* upper mounts
THe uppers are meant to be self jigging but the jig holes have been cut way too big and allow between 10-12mm movement and 20-24mm movement between the 2.
My lower links are 1500mm long so if theyre even 1* out its going to make a fair difference over the total length.
How do i calcutate where the brackets should jig up exactly,or should i just centre the tabe in the jig holes and hope for the best?
I want to try and get it spot on though so it doesnt have to be re-done later on.
Here is a link to the bracket, you can see in the picture there are 2 rectangular jig holes cut in the top plate, these are too big on mine.

I got a hold of chris and he told me there is play so you can adjust your angles, but i wanted both brackets to be exactly 30* to make an overall of 60*.
How do i measure it? ive tried with a protractor but cant figure it out.havent had alot to do with degrees other than at school and doing a few bends with the new bender

Dude use a plumb line ( line with a heavy weight on the end ) It will give you vertical. 90 degrees of that will give you horizontal and so on ...
Once you have one known angle you can measure any other angle.

a cord ruler is another option for angles.
you need a set of dividers as well, to get the degree off the cord ruler itself.
very accurate.
