Opposite Lock Challenge Mudgee June 9th to 11th 2012

Post by mog80 »

The Opposite Lock Challenge is on again June 9th to 11th 2012 at the same location as last year just outside Mudgee & once again hosted by the On All 4's 4wd Club. We will be looking for Clubs to volunteer by helping out to run tracks. As per previous years this event caters for the standard to the heavily modified 4wd & is a fun & relaxing family orientated weekend. There will be more details to follow.

Is this what Black Rat has become now??

Just asking to see what style of event it is, and what types of courses will be running.

Same as last year and 09 blackrat, standed modifyd, open and outlaw the only change was last year it was run no rego for the outlaw trucks but all cars will need full rego with papers sighted on the day

So theres something for everyone so get your club together and more info will be sent out soon

Also this year there as much better access two lane in with truck turning bay and heaps of money spent on making more flat camp grounds thanks to Jamie and Julz

so get in early

The main thing that puts a truck in outlaw is the link setup on it if its got 4 link, A frame, X link etc. That means if any suspension mount is changed from factory then that will be seen as outlaw

or

tyre size over 37s we will be going off what is written on the tyre not a height gauge

all this will be in the rules on the forms to be sent out soon, I think Cory will be sending it out soon.

Trucks will be classed on the day as well so dont worry to much just come with a helmet if you think you may be in open and window nets as well if you think you will be in outlaw

Anyway the prizes are looking to be better then ever but dont forget people we aren't playing for SHEEP STATIONS as they say

Last year the trucks that came first and second in the mod class run 35,s and I think one had beadlocks . So maybe this does need looking at a bit more .

Yeah A few cars sliped through into wrong classes was will not be happinging again

Hey Charles sorry I might not have been clear I mean that any car that has 35s is in open class and anything over 35s is in outlaw can't remeber what your tow car if its on 38s it must feel abit different with the big GU behind it?? :D

Anyway don't be too worried about classes people your car, we will make sure you are in the right class on the day just let us know on the form what you think you fall into

WE are more then happy to help with any question people may have

People have been asking about classes and we had a talk about it on the weekend and we have made a change to the classing to make it more even thanks to a few suggestions

These will be sent out with the entery forms to all the clubs as it is still club based event so if your not in a club find one!!

ALL CLASSES MUST HAVE REGO and 3rd PARTY PROPERTY regaurdless of class

Standard Class: Max of a 33"tyre and 2-3" of lift. No lockers only FACTORY rear LSD--------- NOTE NO BODY LIFT-------

Modified Class: Max of a 35" tyre and up to 4" of lift Only one Locker front or rear and factory LSD If car has dual lockers may elect to not use or disable one (pull Fuse ) to fall into this class if seen using both will get zero for that stage

Open Class: Max of a 37" tyre up 6" lift Dual diff lock and factory suspension mounts, aftermarket HD arms ok Helments required

Outlaw Class: No limits all suspension setups 'A' Frames, trianglated 4 Links etc coil conversion to leaf sprung trucks etc Helmets and window nets required.

was asked about lift most I assume would know but:

Lift includes suspension OR Body lift, so if you have two inch coils and two inch body lift say hello to modified class 2"+2" = 4" wow

AS I said before people dont worry about classes too much we will make sure you are in the right class on the day
