1350 sized uni flange for salisbury diffs

Post by The_apprentice »

Hi Guys

I have a set of custom salisbury diffs in the front and rear (with standard ring and pinions) of the new buggy im building and im new to all this rover stuff. So im wanting to remove the standard 4 bolt pinion flange and replace them with some 1350 sized uni joint flanges with the 2 little Ubolts to hold the uni on (like the dana stuff) and im wanting to know if anybody knows where i could get these from. Would be nice if i could get them for the LT230 tranfer end as well. And also whats a hardcore rover website that i can look at for some stronge gear and not just standard replacement shit.

Thanks Rick

FWIW the uni's they list for post '88 Deefers and Disco's are a standard 1300 series uni whereas the OE ones are GKN specials with an OS cross diameter (but same size diameter cap) so are equal in strength to at least a 1310 uni.

Hey MMA TapouT flat brim hat Rick...

I spoke to SamO today about this when I was out at Haultech. He said your rear diff should already be set up for a 1350 uni and just to copy what he did on that one. Give him a bell or call in there and he'll talk you through it. It's a little bit hack job/booty fab but it works and you'll bust your tranny before the uni conversion goes.

P.S. Ramone just being Ramone is awesome.

NFI.

A mate of mine is an ex-JRA engineer from the mid/late eighties and consulted to LRA in the mid nineties and he had NFI why the Poms did half of what they did
