80 series aftermarket radius arms
Im sure we have talked about this but searched and didn't find much, so here go's.
I have a 6" lift on my 80 series and have previously used offset caster bushes but this led to me breaking off the diff mounts under flex.
Next i used caster plates and this worked well except the radius arms are too close to the steering link and rubs when steering.
I just re drilled my caster plates to allow a little more gap with the steering and now i have poor on road steering.
So basicly what i would like to do is replace my radius arms for some aftermarket ones that can correct the caster problem and have good clearance from the steering (and use original Toyota bushes)
Also strong/ safe enough for hyway use.
I found one i like from Slee in the US (pic below) but want to know where to source them from here in Aus. (im in north QLD)
Any help appreciated.

Re: 80 series aftermarket radius arms
Mate if you have the cash get the superflex arms from superior and you have a win/win. You could also look into flipping your arms and welding your plates on top of the diff.

Re: 80 series aftermarket radius arms
Just looked up the Superior site and found some there and they look like what im after but $1350 ouch !
Does anyone here have any contacts at Superior to maybe get a better price than whats online ? Anyone i should talk to ?
Will talk to Daz as well, cheers ledg
Stilivn, also saw the superflex arms but realy dont need them plus want them to look near stock to deter unwanted attention if you know what i mean.
Same goes for welding the mounts on top of the diff.

Buddy can make you a pair to suit your needs, only thing is they do not appear standard, cheaper than superior for sure though, his number is in my signature and his business hours are untill around 10pm at least so he is easy to get hold of

Re: 80 series aftermarket radius arms
I don't know how much you expect to pay but if $1350 is too pricey then you shouldnt bother callin Darren at autocraft the slee ones will be way more once imported

Re: 80 series aftermarket radius arms
Mate with 6" lift and 35's you are already screwed if the popo pull you over, I'm assuming you done these mods for off road capability, just paint the superflex arms Matt black and they should blend in good enough.

Re: 80 series aftermarket radius arms
I'll just put this out there, I've just fitted a set of 5 inch super flex arms and you lose heaps of clearance where there at the point of being lower then you pukin.
Re: 80 series aftermarket radius arms
6" is too high anyway.

Re: 80 series aftermarket radius arms
Could you flip superflex arms to fix the clearance issues. Kev just put the plates back to normal and grind 5mm off from where the arms rub, problem fixed.

Re: 80 series aftermarket radius arms
Answer - no, I tried it. Your still better off flipping your stock arms, and if you want more travel. Invert at the chassi or diff. Im very happy with my set up, thats why I sold the superflex arms.stilivn wrote:Could you flip superflex arms to fix the clearance issues.
