The one's that are being used in other winch style events are the foam type one's. They are around $40/60 depends on what you want.

Thay are only a very basic type neck support.

Tuesday morning.

Friday nights SS1, 2 & 3 are done.

SS4 & SS5 finished SS6 & SS7 all but finished, speed run (SS8) will be done just before the start of SS.

Sundays SS9 & SS10 all worked out and will be marked on Saturday afternoon.

Expect some longer drive SS and multi winches.

SS are very spectator friendly and have easy access.

Catering is available all weekend.

And don't forget a free Xtreme 4x4 Sport DVD for every vehicle that pays for a weekend camping at Round1.

Weather has been great, with only a sprinkle of rain on Saturday and some drops on Sunday. Nice & cool at night as well.

The ARB XWC Base camp looks great, green as green and freshly mowen.

Cheers from The Springs

David.

By the look of it we have 5 from NSW and 5 from Qld.

But there are a 3 or 4 wild cards on the go.

Don't worry it will still be a full on weekend and great for the spectator who will be able to watch every vehicle on every SS, at the moment.

Keep supporting the "String Pullers" and as you know they do put on a great show.

There is always time to get here and run 10SS

Cheers

Wednesday morning at ARB XWC Event Base "The Springs".

Evening was nice and cool and a bit windy. The morning is the same, very pleasant.

There will be no dust this weekend.

Today will see the remainder of the SS finished.

SS1 will be checked to make sure map is correct for the sprint run, this will happen tomorrow when Dave Hobbs (3 Kids) gets here.

SS8 which was to be Saturdays afternoons sprint run will now become SS4, this way we have full run of the Park in the morning. So another sprint run first up Saturday morning, followed by the usual 4SS; punches, multi winches, change of direction and some more drive time & distance. Will be fun.

No Bob only 2, but the rest have a heap of driving.

The new SS8 could have upto 4 winches in it and the spectators can see them all :) :) :)

I only have SS9 & 10 to mark out now.

SS4 which is the Sprint SS for Saturday will be done on the way to the finish.

All ready to go.

Exspect longer SS and multi winching in some.

SS1 - Sprint by "Stick Map"
SS2 - 1km and a bit sprint & single winch
SS3 - 1+kms and 2 winches
SS4 - Sprint
SS5 - Good uphill run followed by rocky downhill, creek run, punch with change of direction.
SS6 - Creek run and waterfall climb then back down the creek.
SS7 - Out of start, quick winch, long gully run, possible winch and back into the gully for trip to finish. (1+k)
SS8 - Out of start, possible winch, into creek, 1 winch then back into creek, another winch then back into creek and just one more winch then back to finish. Spectators get to see everything.
SS9 & 10 will be longer than normal drives for a Sunday with at the moment one winch in each.

Spectators will love it, the drivers will get more wheel time and the Navis will be working. Thinking of you all the time Col :) :)

Weather has been great, cool and the wind has dropped off a bit.

Cheers from ARB XWC Base - The Springs.

Kay and I will be there just after dark Friday and Lisa and Lochie should be a couple of hours behind us. Book us in for the dinner Sat please, see you tomorrow night.
