prado 120 series transfer rebuild

Post by rusty_burrows »

guys
i have a very modified toyota prado 2005 6inch lift, dual lockers, winch the whole nine yards, i am having backlash issues at speeds above 70kph narrowed it down to the transfer, just wondering has anyone ever fitted low range gearing to one of these or even rebuilt one. what is involved and am i looking at big dollars to repair as i know there is a plantary set of gears in there for the constant 4x4. also it is a 4.0ltr v6 with 6speed manual

cheers fellas
