gq temp gauge problem

hey guys the temp gauge doesnt work in my diesel gq im wondering how i should go about testing if its the gauge or the sender apart from obviously changing the parts and hoping i picked the right one, thanks

I would just buy a new sender from Repco or similar. They are pretty cheap.

short out the wire , if guage goes up its your sender
