TD42T Diesel Safari Tuff Clutch into TB42 Turbo

Post by JJBigWheels »

Hi Guys,

Just wondering if I can use a Diesel clutch on a TB42 turbo. Looking for first hand experience or knowledge please not just I think so.

Too much money to take a chance!! Part numbers etc would be great but I think the GU TD42T clutch has the biggest clamp force? but assume that the GQ TD42 would also be better? I would appreciate confirmation by someone in the know :)

Cheers Guys

hey dont even bother with off the shelf clutches just get a custom job done it wont be that much dearer than the tuff clutch which depending on the power output and tyre size probally wont last under high hp output
i think u will find the gu td42t pressure plate is drill different you will need to redrill the flywheel to suit plate should be the same as it the same gearbox spline
hope this helps

Thanks for the replies guys. Can you tell me who does custom clutches for similar prices? the only one I have come accross was a viper cross which was up towards 2K! A bit much as I dont have a super Nova and the current clutch does handle the power just hasnt lasted that long?

Cheers
