Re: (Qld) ARB XWC Rules, Regulation & Winch Training Day
Hi, just a few small changes to wording.
4A Competition vehicles must be fitted with UHF Radio and must be tuned to the Competition Channel 11 at all times. A 10 point penalty will apply if not adhered to unless extenuating circumstances arise. One warning will be given.
4C. Hand held UHF radio is recommended.
A5. A recovery point (painted red/yellow) is required for both the front and rear of the vehicle and if mounted to the chassis a minimum of two 12mm, or four 10mm Grade 8.8 high tensile bolts are to be used be used. SxS to be fitted with suitable anchor point, front and rear.
5B please add in:- On X4WD & Buggies all internal coolant pipe work must be one piece metal with any joins outside cab area.
I9. Cable dampener is to be secured to the hook and cable. When a snatch block is used another dampener is to be placed in the center third of the cable between the vehicle and the snatch block at start of winching.
Cheers

Dave,
So the Dampener can be attached to the hook at all times even at the start of the SS?

Hi, yes it must be secured to the hook and cable at all times. It cannot be rolled up, but must hang like it has in the past, It still must weight the same and be at least half the recommended size when folded up.

Re: (Qld) ARB XWC Rules, Regulation & Winch Training Day
It is all pretty clear when you read the Rules regards what is and what is not allowed.evanstaniland wrote:is there going to be any clearer vehicle rules for buggies? they dont read very clear for that class

All Classes must be constructed to "Engineering" Standards.
It is the same as the X4WD Class, most things go and where you see an N/A it is Non Applicable.
There are some highlighted rules that state for both Buggies & X4WD
All safety aspects are included, etc, roll cage, lights, horn, radiator and plumbing, seat belts.
Must seat 2 people.
Carry all compulsory equipment.
Send me your email address and I will send you the Rules in a format that is easy read.
Cheers

BYO what ever you want to drink or eat, bbq will be turned on around 12.
This will be a very casual affair, but make the most of it.
