i got 300 to 350ish out of a full tank when it was on the road(driving like a my nan too). when u think about the power u get for the fuel you use its not the best choice, but thats the only fault i could find with it.
hope that helps but there a great car, i had the solid axle dual cab rn105r

Mate fuel isn't the best in one but you could always look around for one with a clapped out motor and put a commodore v6 in. If It were me I'd be looking for a turbo diesel in that shape / year. More power and heaps better economy.

At the end of the day any 4x4 is going to chew more fuel than most cars. If it's really a concern get one and save up to put it on gas or get something small like a Sierra. Don't know how they go on fuel but I'd take a punt it's a lot better than a hilux.

dont expect fuel economy from any petrol 4wd. no matter what size or wether its 4cyl or v8 they are nearly all the same in mpg.

Agreed.

But the way I see it, the extra fuel use is an insurance premium against the inevitable $,000s you are up for with a turbo diesel when the turbo, fuel pump and injectors all crap themselves.
