OL EXTREME Challenge 7th-9th Sept CANCELLED!!

Post by 4X4 shorty »

Hey all just claiming the DATES OF 7th 8th 9th sept

The event will be held at the OL challange, City Vs Country Woodpecker site just out side mudgee

The event will be a no rego required it is planed to run under CCDA
and car requirement will be that of Toperi/TT/Woodpecker etc. There will be at he moment 15-20 teams of two cars like toperi so 30-40 cars in total.

The tracks are extreme and should be a fun weekend

It will be run buy a few individuals with track marshals coming from a few different clubs when people put there hands up

I know there will be a thousand questions but MORE DETAILS TO FOLLOW we just want people to put the date aside

The brains behind this new event is Jamie smith and myself not sure how much brains there really is but We all know Jamie knows how to run a top event

I'll post some pic up soon but we will run "the gully" with the waterfall, boobytrap painted rock etc. "Hargraves ridge." "Rock and Slog" and I new track that People haven't seen yet

Thanks James Whalan

So does running under CCDA mean i can't run with an exo instead of an internal cage?

Also i'd like to nominate, but if my work roster gets in the way (bit hard to tell this far in advance) can i transfer my nom to someone else?

You'd be lucky to get there let alone through a track. Especially if I'm there to help marshall. :finger:

Basically if your car meets Toperi rules it will be fine as the canobolas boys ran under CCDA this year

However like City Vs Country there may be a couple of points that if a car hasn't got a cage of some form then the truck must winch.

It is all self recovery so theres no options on winchs they are a must theres no manitus here :D We will help with recoveries

Hey James,
We would be keen to do this as we missed the Opposite Lock last year (and probably this year due to the clash with TT social weekend)
Its only a week after Round 3 of the Masters so here's hoping nothing breaks
Good to see another comp

Although we have advertised this event as a NSW comp, competing vehicles from the rest of Australia is welcome however there will limited numbers due to the toughness of the tracks.

Hey Joshy unlike some of the other comps (OL Challange, Toperi) to enter this event club membership is NOT REQUIRED  but CCDA will be!!

Being a non club event THE COMPETETORS will be taking responsabiblty for the crew/spectators that come with them. Everyone knows most of the time when there are problems at comps its not normally with the comptetors its normally the public. :x so we dont need the hasells

Due to the nature of the event the event is not open to public spectators all people must be connected with a team and a limited number spectator passes will be avaliable to teams to hand out to their pit crew and friends

yeah its unlucky
but the main issues is that 3 tracks are in a gully which is to steep to have people trying to walk along watching, its just to dangerous not a risk worth taking with kids and stuff

also people would have to drive to the other 4 stages and the number of cars would create issuses going between stages

Personally Im hoping that this event will become an annual thing and we may be able to look at this issues in the future so till then HOOK UP WITH A TEAM and get into it as we all want to see more comps

Yeh cheers, can't wait even if is fathers day.

As for tuff truck last time the cab didn't come out to pretty so there is a new cab after tuff truck. It just depends on if it on or not.
