GU upgrade

Post by nissannewby »

Have recently purchased a 04 st ute. The motor is bog stock excpet that i have removed the egr. I have noticed that when towing that it is actually quite slow im just after opinions on what people have done. I would like it to sit comfortably on the highway without the worrying of having to drop back a gear on slight inclines. So do i just tune up the factory setup or upgrade the turbo and possibly the intercooler with it not to worried about budget. Its a 4.2 ITD.

Factory setup (with 3in exhaust and a good dyno tune) is good for around 110kw @ wheels IMO. get a better intercooler like a front mount or water to air and you can push quite a bit more out of them.

Heaps of info on here mate if you're prepared to look.
