fuel consumption can vary to a great deal. Obviously driving style, terrain and addons like bigger turb's/higher psi, larger rolling diameter, even things like roof racks and snorks increase wind resistance, as does lift and thus increase consumption. But what some people overlook for improved fuel is keeping the MAF meter clean. Crap in this puppy can screw with your performance and is an easy fix. I've used contact cleaner from Dick Smith - instantly dries. Also Subi 'upper head cleanner', come in a blue can, only available form subi delaerships I think, it is good too. Particularly good for cleaning carbon out of petty motors - instant Hp return.

Not trying to shut you down, but we are talking about TD42, Mechanical injection no MAF sensors or any other electric crap to effect fuel consumtion.

we are just comparing different set ups to see what works.

I just filled mine up today. 11.5L/100ks around town w spirited driving. 33s, 4.1s, tuned safari turbo 100rwkw, sliders/f&r bars, 4"lift, a/c.

I went up north not long ago, same as above but w 3ppl, fully loaded, a/c flat out, 35s and sitting on 130km/hr for 20hrs straight returned 15/100.

Yeh I found that if I sat on 130km/hr in NT my fuel was also 15ltr/100km. So I would do 130km/hr between Darwin and Katherine then 110km/hr until gay speed limit in QLD 100km/hr which averaged 11.5ltr/100km, fully loader three people.

Other trips with trailer 15ltr/100km.
