Problems after blocking EGR on Gu.

Post by Hondacr250 »

Hi,
I blocked the EGR valve on my GU 4 Series ZD30 Nissan Patrol. After I blocked it the heater is not working and also sometimes when i drive with a constant speed around 100-110km I noticed that even I fully press the pedal the car is not responding so I have take off my foot from the pedal and press it again. (sorry about my English)
Any idea?
Thanks.

I would hook it back up and see that it even is that first.

Have you installed a boost gauge? I think you will find that the GU ZD30 ECU controls the boost level, it does this with consideration of how much exhaust gasses are re circulating. When i blocked the EGR valve on my mates i saw the boost level drop off under load, i believe it substitutes boost with exhaust gases under certain conditions. In my experience if you block the EGR you must also modify the boost control by bypassing the vacuum actuator in the front of the engine bay and install a Daws valve to manage your boost levels.

Hi,
Thanks. I already ordered the dawese valve but I can't find to buy in Europe or from Australia a needle valve 1/8 for my car. Any suggestions?
Thanks.
