how do i workout what spring rates i need i thinking about build a hilux

plan is
3.8ltr v6 or 5.7ltr v8
patrol front and rear diffs
dual transfercases
airlockers
37" to 40" tyres
himount winch

or is anyone running a similar setup if so what spring rates are you running thanks

best way is start with auctual axle corner weights

Yep. Definatly need sprung corner weights.
