Well broke the DC joint in my new truck today simply the uni let go now it was a easy break but would have past injury anyway the joint isn't factory was wondering if people had found the factory one better
also a guy was saying some joints get more movement then others???
and have people found a stronger uni to put in the DC joint??
also havnt checked it out but will when i get to the shed tomorrow but is the DC joint in a 60 the same

Toy landcruisers have 2 different unis, one is a square and one is a rectangle patern. The rectangle one has more angle.
I believe the 60s DC is larger than the lux one.

firstly, why are u using a DC? is it to stop driveline vibs? if so then Im pretty sure the 60 DC has more available angle. stay away from IFS DC unless u want to mod it to get more angle.. as they have bugger all..
If its not there for drive line vibs then save urself a lot of hassle/cash and turf it. A simple old uni will provide u with more angle.

the reason it has dc s in it is the flex will prob have to go to cvs

Single unis have alot more working angle than a stock DC.
In saying that though, you can grind back the cup inside the DC to get the same 'safe' working angle as single unis.

Back when I had a 7" lift and x link, my dc didn't run enough angle to cope with it. went back to a normal uni with no problems

I have to run a dc for my front shaft due to a crossmember in the way for a normal uni etc. Are the 60's similar in total length to the ifs lux's? Are the uni flanges bigger also for the larger/big diff?
