pump for hydro steer
hi guys. I herd a roomer about some 4x4s using a comodore steering pump for there full hydro steering. is this true or have i been told crap
Re: pump for hydro steer
Hey mate, Commodores use a Saginaw pump which can be modded for more flow and pressure quite easily. They'll easily run hydro assist and full hydro - the speed will depend on the bore of the ram.
Im here for the sausage!
Re: pump for hydro steer
they dont seem to last as long when hi flowed.
I would just call chris at locktup4x4 and buy a pump off him.
its built for that purpose and not overly exxy.
or modify commodore pumps as i did... then see the light and buy a PSC one.
in 4wds like lots of stuff "a poor man pays twice" but its your truck and cash.

What mods did you do to yours? Did you get much gain from them?
